Vietnam, Laos to further cooperation in party education

Vientiane (VNA) – A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) is on a three-day working visit from March 25 to Laos to boost cooperation in the information dissemination and education field with the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP). The officials, headed by To Huy Rua, Director of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission of Information and Education, held talks with their counterparts from the Commission of Information and Training of the LPRP Central Committee. The two sides appreciated the close coordination between the two commissions over the past time and signed an agreement to further cooperation in 2008. Under the agreement, the two sides will coordinate in compiling annals of the special rapport between the two countries. Vietnam will further help Laos in training party educational officials and increase experience exchange. They also agreed to intensify the dissemination of information on the two countries’ renewal causes and important political events, coordinate in organising big anniversaries, and broaden exchanges between their provincial branches. A delegation of the LPRP Commission of Information and Training will visit Vietnam in early 2009 to discuss further cooperation in next year.-Enditem
