Vietnamese Party delegation visits Laos

Vientiane (VNA) – Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) and Director of the CPVCC’s Commission for Information and Training To Huy Rua was received by Lao President Choummaly Sayasone in Vientiane on March 26. President Choummaly, who is also General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, welcomed the Vietnamese delegation, describing its visit as an opportunity for the two sides to discuss and reach consensus on cooperation and enhance the implementation of the agreements that were signed between the two sides previously. He took the occasion to thank the Vietnamese Party, State and people for their special sentiments and effective and great assistance to Laos . The same day, the Vietnamese Party delegates held a working session with the steering board in charge of compiling the book on the history of the Laos-Vietnam Special Relationship.-Enditem
