Vietnamese ambassador visits Colorado to promote ties

Washington (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Le Cong Phung made a three-day business trip to the mid-western state of Colorado as part of a programme that aims to bolster the two countries’ wide-range relations.

High on the agenda of the ambassador’s visit, which began on March 24, were the meetings with the Governor of Colorado, and the Mayor of Colorado’s capital of Denver .

Colorado leaders all said they were willing to promote trade and investment and the exchange of cultural performances, and scientific and technological cooperation between the state and Vietnamese partners.

The Mayor of Denver said the city, which is Colorado ’s finance-trade hub, is willing to take part in cooperative projects with Vietnam .

On the trip, Ambassador Phung also met with Colorado businesspeople, held talks with professors and students of the University of Colorado at Denver and visited several companies.-Enditem
