Party delegation attends Indian Communist Party’s Congress

Hanoi (VNA) – A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has attended the 20 th Congress of the Communist Party of India (CPI) in Hyderabad, India.

About 900 delegates and Indian guests and 29 international delegations from 26 countries attended the CPI Congress.

The congress passed a political resolution, a political report and some other documents.

A.B. Bardhan was re-elected as CPI General Secretary and S. Reddy was elected as deputy General Secretary of the CPI National Council.

The Vietnamese delegation delivered a speech greeting the congress and presented a message of greetings from the CPV Central Committee to the congress.

At a meeting with General Secretary Bardhan, the delegation conveyed General Secretary Nong Duc Manh’s best regards to the CPI General Secretary and leadership.

They exchanged views on the situation of the two parties and countries, as well as traditional solidarity and cooperation between the parties and people of the two countries.

During the congress, the Vietnamese delegation also had contacts with other international delegations.-Enditem
