Organisations, individuals decorated by Cuba

HCM City (VNA) – The Cuban Government has awarded the Solidarity Order and Friendship Medal to chapters of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association and individuals in Ho Chi Minh City . The award presentation was made in the city on March 31 by Alicia Elvira Corredera Morales, Head of the Asian-Pacific Department of the Cuban Institute for Solidarity with other Peoples and Jesus Aise Sotolongo, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam . The Solidarity Order was presented to the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association chapters in the HCM City ’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Fine Arts College, for their participation in activities for solidarity with Cuba , giving education on Vietnam-Cuba relationship and support of the Cuban people’s revolutionary cause. Eight people were awarded Cuba ’s Friendship Medal for their outstanding contributions to fostering and enhancing Vietnam-Cuba solidarity and friendship. Former Vietnamese ambassador to Cuba Vo Anh Tuan, representative of the awardees, affirmed that they will continue contributing to the revolutionary cause and special solidarity between the two countries.-Enditem
