09/04/2008 -- 10:28 AM

Hanoi (VNA) – The Central hydrometeorological Forecast Bureau said that the north and northera central areas will face prolonged high temperatures until the end of the week, due to the western low depression.

On April 7, temperatures in the northeast reached 29-32 degrees Celsius, while temperatures from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue provinces reached 30-33 degrees.

The northeast areas, including Hanoi, were forecast to have temperatures of 22-34 degrees Celsius, while the northwest’s temperature would be 23-37 degrees and the northera central part of the country would see the mercury hit between 22 and 33 degrees C.

Next week will be cool because of the cold air, but the hot weather may return by the middle of the week.-Enditem
