Recently, when the stock market faced continuous drops, many experts suggested IPO rescheduling to reduce the supply of commodities to shore up the market. This means the process of SOE equitisation will be further delayed.

· Development of organic fertiliser production sector for a sustainable agricultural growth (Thoi bao Kinh te Viet Nam [Vietnam Economic Times], page 87, p. 5). Over recent years, using organic fertiliser has been indispensable to Vietnamese farmers, having encouraged the establishment of organic fertiliser production units, whose total output reaches several millions of tonnes per year. However, inappropriate attention is being paid to this sector.

· The Mekong Delta: Opportunity for rice paddies (Thoi bao Kinh te Viet Nam [Vietnam Economic Times], page 87, p 5). Rice production meets with good fortune thanks to world price hike. However, prices of oil, petrol, fertiliser and pesticides became high too, forcing the Mekong delta and southern regions to find measures to lower the production costs.

· Optimistic about opportunities for investment in Vietnam (Thanh Nien [Young People], No. 101, p6). The stock market, inflation and foreign investment were the major issues discussed at a seminar which took place in Ho Chi Minh City on April 8-9 regarding investment opportunity in Vietnam .
