HCM City (VNA)- Paul Nicklos Bernlhard Gagneur, a Finnish national who was arrested by police in Ho Chi Minh City for an alleged murder in Finland , was handed over to Finnish police on April 21.
Bernhard Gagneur, who was being sought by Finnish police and the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) was arrested by Vietnamese police on April 21 at the September 23 Park in Ho Chi Minh City’s district 1.
According to information provided to Vietnamese police by their Finnish counterparts, Bernhard Gagneur allegedly murdered his wife in their private home in Helsinki on March 14.
Gagneur reportedly took all of their assets and left home on March 15 before fleeing to Hungary and Cambodia .
Police said Gagneur entered Vietnam on March 26.
He was handed over to Finnish police in Ho Chi Minh City at 7pm before being taken back to Finland by planes at 9pm on April 21.-Enditem
