Second cargo ship handed over to UK

Quang Ninh (VNA) - The Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, an affiliate of Vinashin group, handed over a 53,000 tonne cargo ship to Britain’s GRAIG Group in northern coastal Quang Ninh province, on April 29. The ship, named SOPHIA, was the second among 15 vessels that the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin) has signed to build for GRAIG Group. As a new-generation cargo vessel, SOPHIA includes five well-equipped cellars with a combined capacity of 65,700 cu.m. The ship will start its work by carrying GRAIG’s cargos from Vietnam to Thailand.-Enditem
