Foreign capital projects under government spotlight

Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem on May 6 gave the go- ahead to a 350,000 EUR technical assistance project to prevent flooding in the lower section of the Saigon river.

The project funds, provided through non-refundable aid from the French Development Agency (AFD), will be given to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to carry out the project. The ministry will also inject 830 million VND into the project.

Meanwhile, Deputy PM Khiem has agreed to withdraw two projects from the list of registered projects to use credits provided by the Norwegian and Danish governments.

They include a project to invest in equipment for the Hanoi Tumor Hospital , using the Norwegian government’ credit, and another to build a waste water treatment system in Phu My 1 industrial zone, using credits from the Danish government.-Enditem
