HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City will host the 2008 Asia Trade and Investor Convention (ATIC) from May 31-June 1.
The event is expected to draw 10,000 investors, including 200 internationals, HCM City Stock Exchange (HoSE) Deputy Director General Le Nhi Nang told a press briefing in HCM City on May 7.
It will feature 50 conferences and an exhibition of more than 40 businesses from stock exchanges both inside and outside the country, banks, brokerages, investment funds and financial information providers.
Co-organised by the NextView Group of Singapore and the HoSE, the convention is part of NextView’s commitment to support HoSE in training and linking local investors with their foreign partners, Nang said.
Speaking at the press briefing, NextView Managing Director Stephen Lai predicted the Vietnamese stock market will recover with a faster pace when the world market is restored.
Ho Chi Minh City , Singapore , Kuala Lumpur , Bangkok , Mumbai and Shenzen take turn to host the annual event.-Enditem
