AFC gives money for Women’s Championship

Hanoi (VNA) – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has allocated the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) 470,000 USD to organise the Asian Women’s Football Championship 2008 in Ho Chi Minh City from May 28 to June 8. Eight teams are taking part: China , Australia , the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea , Japan , Chinese Taipei, the Republic of Korea , Thailand and host Vietnam . The Vietnam team is currently training in the mountainous district of Tam Dao in northern Vinh Phuc province, for the tournament.-Enditem
