Children’s activities held for European Days

Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City children will get to enjoy activities during May as part of “European Days 2008” organised by the Delegation of the European Commission and embassies of the European Union’s member countries in Vietnam. The award ceremony for a children’s painting contest on gender equality will be held on May 10 with the ten best paintings to be sent to EU headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. European and Vietnamese children’s football teams will meet for a friendly match in Hanoi on May 17. The players will be students aged 12-15 from the Lycee Francaise Akexadre Yersin, the UNIS international school and junior high schools in Hanoi. A European Film Festival will screen 12 feature and cartoon films in Ha Noi from May 16-22 and in Ho Chi Minh City from May 22-30.-Enditem
