Mid-term CG meeting to be held in Sapa

Hanoi (VNA) – The mid-term Vietnam Consultative Group (CG) meeting will take place in Sapa in northern Lao Cai province on June 5-6, Vietnamese foreign ministry spokesman Le Dung said. At his regular press briefing in Hanoi on May 8, Le Dung said the meeting between the government and major donors will centre on Vietnam’s socio-economic development and northern mountainous region’s growth and the effectiveness of aid in the area. It will also touch upon issues on climate change, Dung said. The meeting will involve ministries, agencies and northern provinces in addition to ambassadors and representatives of donor countries and international organisations, the spokesman said.-Enditem
