RoK Film Festival raises curtain in Hanoi

Hanoi (VNA) – The 2008 Republic of Korea film festival opened with a grand musical performance by Vietnamese and RoK artists in Hanoi on May 8. The three day fiesta is co-organised by the RoK Embassy in Vietnam, the RoK Cultural Centre, the ShinMun Daily and the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to mark the 16th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. Local film lovers will have a chance to enjoy a series of films including “Forever the Moment,” “The Metro,” “Kongmakgol Village” and “Marathon,” as well as meet with famous RoK directors and actors. The first RoK film festival in Vietnam was held in 2007 to mark the 15th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries and strengthen cultural understanding and exchange between the two peoples. -Enditem
