Viettel gives relief aid to Nargis victims

Hanoi (VNA) – The military-run mobile phone operator Viettel on May 8 donated 20,000 USD to victims of the devastating cyclone Nargis disaster in Myanmar to help them overcome the disaster aftermath. The Vietnamese government earlier pledged to provide Myanmar victims with 200,000 USD in relief aid and the Vietnam Central Red Cross with 20,000 USD. Cyclone Nargis has so far claimed the lives of at least 22,000 people and left another 42,000 still missing. The figures are predicted to continue to rise.-Enditem
