Hanoi (VNA) – More than 10,000 industrial visitors are expected to do 30 million USD in business at a three-day trade show titled Manufacturing Vietnam 2008, which began at the International Exhibition Centre here on May 8.
The show covers five manufacturing industries - plastics, moulds and dies, automotive parts automation, and electronic parts. Technology for the industries comes from 30 countries.
Manufacturers from throughout Vietnam lined up to joint the show. They provided more than 500 products and items for display.
Japan has a special attraction. For the first time in South-East Asia , it is presenting Industrial Robots in Concert with their fluid, human-like movement.
Nichapa Yoswee, a Thai leader in exhibitions, said Vietnamese manufacturers could spend three fruitful days learning about innovative technologies that would help then update their manufacturing processes.
Le Thanh Vinh, director of Vietnam ’s 21st Century company, is one of the leading suppliers of industrial robotics. He said the technology would help spur Vietnam ’s heavy industry.
During the exhibition, a welding competition will be help to determine the best out of 100 welders competing.-Enditem
