Deputy PM receives WB Country Director

Hanoi (VNA) - Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem has praised World Bank (WB)’s contributions to boosting Vietnam ’s socio-economic development and poverty reduction. The Deputy PM received on May 9 WB Country Director Ajay Chhibber to mark the end of his term in office in Vietnam . Khiem said the country highly valued the bank’s role in effectively coordinating and forming cooperative relations and development partners between Vietnam and foreign donors for more than 15 years. He congratulated the director on his new position as a leader of the United Nation Development Programme. Ajay Chhibber said he would continue to help and cooperate with Vietnam in his new role.-Enditem
