Thai PM affirms no dissolution of House of Representatives

Bangkok (VNA) – Thailand’s Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej insisted on May 11 that he would not dissolve the House of Representatives.

The Nation newspaper of Thailand quoted PM Samak as responding to a question of a fan of his Talk Samak Style programme, who expressed concern that the media widely speculated about a House dissolution.

PM Samak added that it was his duty to ensure the survival of his government.

However, Thailand may have to conduct a cabinet reshuffle following the resignation of Sutha Chansaeng as social development and human security minister, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Surapong Suebwonglee was cited by the Bangkok Post newspaper as saying.-Enditem
