Hanoi (VNA) – The Belgium-based Donxa organisation will finance surgeries for 32 poor disabled children in northern Vinh Phuc province, which is estimated to cost two million VND each.

The project was kick started in Hanoi on May 12 by the Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Scientific Institute in collaboration with the Vietnam Relief Association of Handicapped Children and the Donxa organisation.

The annual initiative of the Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Scientific Institute is held in response to the “Month of Action for Children”.

Established in 2001, Donxa started to finance surgeries for disabled children in northern provinces of Vietnam two years later with its first project was construction of a rehabilitation centre for children with mental health disorders in Dong Anh outlying district of Hanoi.
