Free operations allow children to smile

Hanoi (VNA) – Operation Smile has helped local dentists to provide free operations for 60 children with harelips and cleft palates from central Thanh Hoa province on May 12. The NGO plans to provide free operations to a total of 1,400 children with harelips and cleft palates in 31 provinces and cities of Vietnam in 2008. Each surgery is estimated to cost of nearly 1.3 million VND. The Hanoi International Women Club will join Operation Smile to cover expenses of these surgeries.-Enditem
