RoK wants direct talks with DPRK on food aid

Seoul (VNA) – The Republic of Korea (RoK) government is willing to talk with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on ways to provide food aid for the DPRK, said the RoK Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan on May 14.

“Appraisals of the DPRK’s food situation are under way,” the Minister was cited by Yonhap news agency as saying.

Minister Yu said his country is in consultation with related nations and international agencies on the assessment of the food situation in the DPRK and if there is an opportunity, it would like to have direct consultations with the DPRK.- Enditem
