Vietnam exhibits ancient art in Laos

Vientiane (VNA) – An exhibition on ancient art from northern Vietnam opened in Vientiane on May 15, providing visitors with insight into the development of culture in the northern delta as well as in Vietnam. The exhibition, held by the Vietnam Fine Arts Institute, showcases outstanding archived photos depicting relics scattered in the northern delta from the Ly dynasty (1010-1225) to the Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945). The photos of temples, pagodas and mausoleums reflects the character of the community-based agricultural society imbued with Buddhist spirituality.-Enditem
