Laos, Thailand boost media co-operation

Vientiane (VNA) – Laos and Thailand are set to increase media cooperation following a memoradum of understanding inked between media representatives from the two countries this week in Vientiane. The MoU, which is hoped to boost further cooperative and friendly relations between Laos and Thailand, was signed during the working visit to Laos by the Thai Journalists' Association from May 11-17, the Lao News Agency (KPL) reported. The agreement will create conditions for the Thai and Lao Journalists’ Associations to conduct joint projects, particularly to complete the drafting of the Lao-Thai journalist guides by the end of this year. The associations have also agreed to have a meeting to exchange views on international issues of common interest and help their journalists improve professional skills. –Enditem
