Ministry proposes flood-resistant zones

Hanoi (VNA) - The Ministry of Construction has submitted to the Prime Minister the second phase of a proposal worth 2,387 billion VND for a project to build flood-resistant residential zones. It includes 208 projects to build homes and dykes to ensure the safety of 52,356 families in flood-prone areas. Such regions will also be the site of 143 waste treatment projects and dykes. The Ministry proposed supporting families with incentive loans from Vietnam Development Bank and Social Policy Bank to buy land plots and build houses.-Enditem
