IT expo to draw over 200 leading corps

HCM City (VNA) – Over 200 leading local and foreign information technology (IT) corporations are expected to introduce their latest products, services and technology at an international exposition slated for July 15-19 in Ho Chi Minh City .

The 13 th Viet Nam Computer Electronics World Expo will be co-organised by the International Data Group (IDG) in Viet Nam , the Ho Chi Minh City Information Technology Association and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Exhibition Services Co. Ltd (Vietcham Expo).

On the sidelines of the expo, the Viet Nam ICT Outlook conference will discuss IT policies, human resources and Internet development in Vietnam with the aim of outlining measures to exploit investment capital sources, boost IT application in business and develop e-services for banking, education and training and job generation.

According to the IDG, spendings on IT-related products in Vietnam , including hardware, software and services, are estimated at 2 billion USD in 2008, a year-on-year increase of 15 percent.-Enditem
