Save the Children UK cares for HIV-infected children

HCM City (VNA) – Save the Children UK has teamed up with Ho Chi Minh City’s Committee for Population, Family and Children in a project to care for children infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS in the locality.

The project targets to prevent HIV/AIDS multi-harms on children, reduce children’s risks of infecting the deadly disease in addition to promoting preventive measures to protect children and the community from the epidemic.

The project, worth 650 million VND in non-refundable aid, will be carried out in Ho Chi Minh City ’s four outlying districts of Binh Thanh, Go Vap, Thu Duc and Hoc Mon from June 2008 till March 2009.-Enditem
