Communications on German-Vietnam agenda

Berlin (VNA) – A Ministry of Information and Communication delegation headed by Minister Le Doan Hop had a working session with relevant German ministries and sectors on publishing, telecommunications and postal services.

The working session was held on June 24, the final day of the delegation’s working visit to Germany which began on June 19.

During the session, Vietnam said it hoped to cooperate with Germany in developing information technology infrastructure, high-level human resources training and developing the IT sector.

The Vietnamese officials also said the cooperation is to focus on software and IT application in State management and the development of an e-Government.

While in Germany, the delegation had a working session with leaders from the Nokia Siemens Networks and discussed the application of the 3G, Wimax and LTE technologies and trends in the IT and telecom markets.

The Vietnamese delegation also met with leader of the Siemens AG and learned of their experiences in building and operating an e-Government.-Enditem
