Miss Venezuela wins “charming ao dai” award

HCM City (VNA) – Miss Venezuela won “charming long dress (ao dai)” title at a Ao dai fashion show held at Hoa Binh Theatre in Chi Minh City on June 24. Eighty beauty queens from countries and territories worldwide modeled collections of the Vietnamese traditional tunics made by famous designers, including Lien Huong, Thuan Viet, Si Hoang and Vo Viet Chung. Beauties from India , Kazakhstan , Thailand , Venezuela and Vietnam were among the top five at the show. Contestants of the Miss Universe 2008 raised more than 12,800 USD by auctioning gifts on June 23 for the Nguyen Thai Binh scholarship fund of Thanh Nien newspaper. On the same day, the beauties visited disabled children at Nguyen Dinh Chieu school and Tam Binh Orphanage.-Enditem
