Thai media: VN has “secret weapons” for development

Bangkok (VNA) – Vietnam has “secret weapons” to continue economic development, and the country will be likely to overcome existing difficulties due to rocketing oil prices, said Thailand’s MCOT television station on July 4. All sectors in Vietnam have spaces to further develop, the Thai TV channel said, adding that these sectors are able to attract more foreign investment and to maintain high growth rates. Especially, Vietnam owns large territorial waters, which has more oil potentials than Thailand, the TV channel stressed. Meanwhile, overseas Vietnamese people (Viet kieu) send huge money back to homeland, MCOT added. The TV channel also praised measures that the Vietnamese government is implementing to curb inflation. It concluded that with the above mentioned “weapons”, Vietnam’s economic prospects are very optimistic.–Enditem
