Kon Tum: 300 million USD for hydroelectric plants

Kon Tum (VNA) – Central Highlands Kon Tum province has so far built about 70 small and medium hydro-electric projects with a total investment capital of 5 trillion VND (over 300 million USD). In the first six months of this year, the province saw 10 projects starting construction at a total cost of 2.8 trillion VND. The Dak Psi Hydro-electric Development Investment Company invests 600 billion VND to build four plants at a total capacity of 36 MW in the build-own-operate (BOO) form. Two of these are expected to generate power by 2010. Six other projects with a total capacity of 110 MW in the locality are also scheduled to be completed by the end of the decade.-Enditem
