Lecturers updated on money laundering prevention

HCM City (VNA) - A course on the prevention of money laundering opened in Ho Chi Minh City on July 14 for lecturers from police and judicial training institutes and universities.

The two-week course is part of the three-year project on “Strengthening the Capacity of Legal and Law Enforcement Institutions in Preventing and Combating Money Laundering in Viet Nam” signed by the Vietnamese Government and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in June 2007.

The project is aimed at increasing the number of trainers in the field in addition to improving capacity for judicial and law enforcement staff in the detection, investigation, prosecution and trial of money laundering criminals.-Enditem
