Beijing (VNA) – China’s capital city of Beijing has set up 26 Olympic cultural squares across the city's 18 districts and counties.

The squares opened to the public on July 13 and will remain open until the Paralympic Games close on September 17.

The cultural squares have a plasma screen television to show live broadcasts of the Games. There will also be various performances and exhibitions held at each location.

The cultural squares are also being set up in the five other Olympic co-host cities.

Meanwhile, nearly 6,000 hotels in Beijing are ready to welcome visitors during the games. Of them, 120 hotels registered for welcoming foreign reporters to cover the event.-Enditem
