Mitsubishi mulls to produce aircraft components in Vietnam

Tokyo (VNA) – Japan’s Mitsubishi Aircraft Co is mulling to produce components for its small aircraft, Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ), in Vietnam as part of the company’s plan to develop an overseas sale and component production system. The company expects to put the MRJ into operation in 2013. According to the company, East Asia would be a place for its production and sale systems in order to reduce production cost. The company has won an order for 25 MRJs from All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan ’s second-largest carrier. The demand for small aircraft like MRJ is estimated to 5,000 jets in the next 20 years.-Enditem
