Hanoi (VNA) – Indonesia and Malaysia have agreed to allow more of their airlines to fly routes between the two countries to serve increasing passenger and cargo demand, Indonesia’s Antara news agency reported.
Under the agreement, three Indonesian airlines, including Batavia Air, Wings Air and Linus Air, were allowed to fly to and from Malaysia, Transportation Attache at the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Sahar Andika Putra, was quoted by Antara as saying on July 18.
Meanwhile, Malaysian airline Fire Fly is allowed to serve routes to and from Indonesia, the official added.
Currently, Garuda Indonesia and Lion Air already serve the Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur route, while Merpati, another airline of Indonesia, serves the Surabaya- Kuala Lumpur route, according to Antara. –Enditem
