Children line up for football programme

Hanoi (VNA) – Thousand of Vietnamese children from 20 cities and provinces will take part in trials for the Football Dream programme launched by Qatar ’s Aspire Football Training Centre in conjunction with Khai Minh Joint-Stock Company and the Vietnam Football Federation in early August at 76 different venues.

Small-aged football players will compete in three rounds. Three young
Protégé will be selected to take part in a one-month training course attended by world-famous footballers and coaches at the Aspire Academy .

Football Dream is one of the world’s biggest football talent spotting events for children aged 12 and under.

It is supported by the Aspire Academy, Nike Corp and UNICEF. In 2007, the project attracted more than 500,000 children in seven African countries. This year, it has been expanded to five more countries, including Vietnam and Iran.-Enditem
