Seoul (VNA) – The Republic of Korea (RoK) said it will join the ASEAN regional cooperative fund, according to sources from the RoK government.
RoK Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan said countries participating in the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) will launch a cooperative fund and the RoK is willing to made financial contribution to the fund.
The regional cooperative fund comprises 10 ASEAN member countries and three dialogue partners – China, Japan and the RoK.
FM Yu will talk with his counterparts from ASEAN, China and Japan to prepare for the ARF plenary session, slated for July 24.
ASEAN comprises Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.-Enditem
