Landslides in mountainous province kill four

23/07/2008 -- 4:23 PM

Ha Giang (VNA) - Landslides caused by prolonged heavy rains pulled down a newly built two-storey house in northern mountainous Ha Giang province early July 23, leaving four people dead.

The victims are workers who have built the house in Hoang Su Phi district.

The downpours that started two day ago triggered mud-rock flows and flood in streams, blocking roads linking the district town with 23 communes.

Nearly 10 km of concreted roads and many paddy fields were also buried in stones and soil.-Enditem
