Economic partnership with Uzbekistan encouraged

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam encourages businesses from all economic sectors to cooperate with Uzbekistan, said Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai. The Deputy PM Stressed cotton, coal, oil and gas farm produce processing and tourism are the domains that businesses from the two nations should promote partnership. Hai was receiving Uzbekistani First Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade Nasriddin E. Najimov in Hanoi on August 21. His guest expressed deep impression about Vietnam’s economic growth, particularly the attraction of foreign investment, which has so far this year increased 2.5 times over 2007. He said that the two countries’ similarities in economic development will help boost their cooperating as well as exchange of experience. He briefed the host about the result of the meeting of the Vietnam-Uzbekistan Inter-governmental Committee for Economic, Commercial, Scientific and Technological Cooperation, which was focused on measures to effectively boost the two sides’ traditional cooperation.-Enditem
