IT personnel to get trained on int'l standards

28/08/2008 -- 6:27 PM

Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam Training Centre (VITEC) and the Hanoi University of Technology are preparing for an examination of IT students based on Japanese equivalent standards scheduled for October.

The examination, expected to draw some 120 qualified students from the Hanoi University of Technology, is part of a recent agreement on IT human resource development between the VITEC, the Hoa Lac Industrial Zone Management Board and the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The deal, reached in Hanoi on August 28, calls for equipping IT personnel with international standards skills, holding examinations for IT engineers based on internationally-recognised standards and providing IT personnel for both domestic and foreign enterprises.

Shortly after the signing ceremony, VITEC transferred IT standards documents for the Hanoi University of Technology to add them into its curriculum.-Enditem
