Da Nang city donates 39 houses to poor women

Da Nang (VNA) – Da Nang’s Association for Sponsoring Disadvantaged Women and Children has handed over 39 houses to poor and disadvantage women in Hoa Minh Commune. The beneficiaries – under a city programme to donate houses to 126 underprivileged women – will only have to pay a monthly maintenance fee of 50,000-100,000 VND. However, they do not have the right to sell the houses. The scheme is open only to poor single mothers living in rented accommodation in Da Nang. The programme, which has a budget of nearly 10 billion VND (600,000 USD), is funded by charity.-Enditem
