Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Aug. 28 signed a decision approving the result of the supplementary election of the Hanoi People’s Committee for the 2004-2009 term after the city’s expansion.
Under the decision, Nguyen The Thao, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, holds the post of Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee.
Eight vice chairs of the Hanoi People’s Committee include Phi Thai Binh, Vu Hong Khanh, Nguyen Huy Tuong, Dao Van Binh, Nguyen Van Khoi, Hoang Manh Hien, Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, Trinh Duy Hung. They were vice chairs of the Hanoi People Committee and Ha Tay province’s People’s Committee before the merge of the two loclaities.
The PM also approved four member of the Hanoi People’s Committee. They are Nguyen Duc Nhanh, Director of the Hanoi Police; Phi Quoc Tuan, Commander of the High Command of Hanoi; Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Director of the Hanoi Department for Internal Affairs, and Nguyen Thinh Thanh, Chief of the municipal People’s Committee Office.-Enditem
