“Vietnamese Festival in Japan” launched in Tokyo

Hanoi (VNA) – The “ Vietnam festival in Japan” programme was officially launched in Tokyo on August 28 as part of celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic relations.

Head of the festival’s organisation committee, Japanese Senator Matsuda Iwao, Chairman of Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group Tsutomu Takebe and Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Phu Binh were present at the launching ceremony.

The programme, to be held in Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo from September 16-21, will include a forum on Vietnam-Japan economic cooperation, a photo exhibition on Vietnam’s landscape and people, a Vietnam-Japan cultural gala night and a Vietnamese festival 2008.

At the Vietnam Festival scheduled for September 20-21 in Tokyo, well-known Vietnamese singers will perform together with Japanese artists.-Enditem
