Japan assists construction of tailor training centre in Hue

Ha Noi, Feb. 24 (VNA) - The Japanese Embassy in Ha Noi on Feb. 24 pledged a donation of about 85,850 USD to Hue city, central Thua Thien-Hue province, to build a centre for training local tailors. The sum is part of Japan's grant aid to Viet Nam's localities in the 2005 fiscal year. The centre will provide street children, especially girls, in the city with a profession to earn their living and to avoid social evils. The Japanese Government on Feb. 21 also pledged to provide about 82,700 USD to build a primary school in mountainous Tuyen Quang province in the north.-Enditem
