More Agent Orange victims receive help

Ha Noi, Feb. 27 (VNA) – The second phase of a project to help Agent Orange (AO) victims in central highlands and southwestern Tay Ninh provinces was launched in Ha Noi on Feb. 25 and 26.

From now until 2010, all under the 16.3 billion VND project, 1,520 poor and disabled citizens will receive rehabilitation surgery, 1,550 others will get wheelchairs and the living conditions of 1,440 AO victims will be improved.

Around 200 medical workers and volunteers of the Viet Nam Red Cross and family members of Agent Orange victims will take part in courses on attending to AO victims after surgery.-Enditem
