Ha Noi (VNA) - The Government on Sept. 22 issued Decree 107/2006/ND-CP stipulating punishement for heads of agencies, organisations and units regarding their legal responsibility in any corruption cases occurring in their agencies, organisations or units.
Under the decree, the punishment for the head and deputy heads of agencies, organisations and units in which corruption occur, will increase by one level if he/she did not take necessary measures to prevent and overcome the consequences of corruption activities and if he/she detected corruption, but neither took drastic measures nor reported the case in a timely fashion to authorized agencies and organisations.
If several agencies, orgnaisations and units are involved in the corruption case, the heads or deputy heads of related agencies, organisations and units whose employees are held responsible, are liable to take joint responsibility for the case.-Enditem |
