Ha Noi (VNA) - A national committee on anti-corruption will make its debut in early October and will approve its programme of action for the period between now and the end of this year, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong said on Sept. 28.
The Central Steering Committee for Anti-corruption will act as an advisor for the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee (CPVCC) in instructing the implementation of the resolution adopted by the third plenum of the CPVCC (10th tenure), helping all Party members be deeply aware of the spirit of the resolution, and guide localities nationwide to organise anti-corruption units, Deputy PM Trong said in an interview with the Viet Nam News Agency.
In particular, the steering committee will instruct the resolving of pressing cases such as those involving the Project Management Unit 18, the Viet Nam Oil and Gas Corporation, Nguyen Lam Thai and 38 post offices, and Nguyen Duc Chi in central Khanh Hoa province, the deputy PM stressed.
All localities as well as branches and agencies under the CPVCC are also required to draw up their own programmes of action on anti-corruption, the Deputy PM added.-Enditem |
