Ha Noi (VNA) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Jan. 8 requested the police to quickly wrap up investigations into major corruption cases uncovered in 2006 in order to scale up the fight against corruption.
Speaking at the public security forces' 62nd national conference in Ha Noi on Jan. 8, the PM said the forces should work harder in 2007 to effectively prevent and combat corruption.
While commenting on the forces' great contribution to the country's achievements in 2006, PM Dung said during international integration, the public security forces should perform well its advisory task in addition to backbone role in countering hostile forces, ensuring social security and order, combating corruption and wastefulness and practising thrift to boost economic growth.
He also requested the forces to take strong measures to reform administrative procedures in their field and curb traffic accidents.-Enditem |
