Ha Noi (VNA) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung affirmed on Feb. 9 that there will be no "forbidden areas" in the fight against corruption.
The government leader made this statement during his first online dialogue with the public, which was organised by the online e-paper of the Viet Nam Communist Party, the Government's website, Viet Nam Television, and the VietnamNet e-paper.
He said the government will take uniform measures to prevent and drive back corruption activities, sternly punishing people involved in them.
The PM also affirmed that administrative reform is another priority for 2007, with focus on administrative procedures, in order to boost socio-economic development.
Without administrative reform, the Government will not be able to mobilise huge resources from businesses and all economic sectors, neither will it be able to meet the people's demand for democracy, he further said.
During the three-hour dialogue, the PM received nearly 20,000 questions related to the socio-economic situation in 2006 and measures for socio-economic development in 2007, the anti-corruption fight, administrative reform, science-technology development and policies on housing, education, culture, healthcare, as well as natural disaster and epidemic prevention.-Enditem
