Ha Noi (VNA) – The prickly issue of solving trade disputes was top of the agenda at two seminars held in Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi.
Experts and officials from Viet Nam, Canada and Europe discussed procedures according to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), that will help Vietnamese officials and businesses solve disagreements and protect their interests.
Addressing the Ha Noi seminar, which was opened on May 21, Deputy Trade Minister Luong Van Tu said Viet Nam’s accession to the WTO would bring various benefits, particularly in protecting the country’s interests by applying the WTO’s dispute settlement mechanism.
The two-day seminars, the first in Ho Chi Minh City on May 18-19, were jointly organised by the Trade Ministry and the Delegation of the European Commission (EC) within the second Multilateral Trade Assistance Project (MUTRAP II) sponsored by the EC.-Enditem
